The
Screenland apartments, consisting of 96 units, are two entirely different
types of units constructed to interact with each other. The easterly
side of the property fronts a long alley, and this area was constructed
as a series of two-story town homes, each of which has its own garage
entering from the alley.
These
town homes face a courtyard, on the other side of which is located a
three-story apartment complex. Thus two entirely different types of
designs interact with each other and provide convenient living of 96
units in an area that is extremely dense.
The
density of the design is offset by the uniqueness of having the town
homes interact with the apartments; therefore it does not feel overly
crowded. This is a proven concept, and the project has been at least
97% leased since it’s opening.
